MEMBERSHIP PACKS READY TO GO

The membership packs are ready to go. Once we got them together I was shocked at how many seeds were donated this year. Thank-you to everyone involved. Each pack is ending up with at least 50 different current seed packs, plus I added a few "vintage" seeds to each pack as well. Here is a picture of a typical pack that you will receive with your paid membership for 2018. If you haven't paid yet, please do so we can get one of these packs out to you. The first half of the packs look like this, the second half is a bit smaller as we started to run out of some seeds. They will be going in the mail the end of this week or beginning of next week.

This could be the GVGO's best seed pack ever. I suggest that 2017 members get their dues paid up ASAP as there is a limited supply & we are getting a lot of interest from new members.

Just received the membership seed package. WOW! Have to agree with Phil, this years package may

be the best ever. Thanks to all the members who donated their seed and to John N. for organizing the seed collection. My seed selection choices for the upcoming season has changed due to this package! Best of luck to all growers this year.

WOW that was fast. They just went out in the mail Friday and you got them in the US on Tuesday. I bet most Ontario growers are still waiting for it to arrive. Good Luck Doug and thank-you for your seed contributions as well.

Hi Mr. Nieuwenhoff,

In the seed package there is a package that says 1998.5 Jutras, is that really a squash?

Thank you

Simon, the 1998.5 Jutras was a pumpkin. Joe Jutras sent some seeds for the packages but not 1998.5's perhaps it was used in the cross of one of the seeds you got? Can you post a picture?

Simon that is a 386 Reid grown off the 1998.5 Jutras. Funny it would say squash as the Jutras was a pumpkin from 2015. Hopefully Jim Reid sees this and can clarify.

I got my seed pack today and I was really surprised with the great seeds. I know that some of them will be seeing dirt in the patch this year. Thanks for putting it all together John and thanks to all the generous seed contributors. Without you we could not offer the chance for our members the opportunity to obtain such a great diversity of seeds.

Best of luck to all GVGO members this year.

I just joined today and I'm looking forward to getting my seed pack. Can anyone tell me if it contains any giant carrot seeds?

I was given a giant carrot seedling last year and managed to grow it to 2lb, and I think I can do better this year! However I just don't know where to find any seeds.

Hi Jeff, It's unlikely that there will be any carrot seeds in your seed pack this year. I have more carrot seeds than I can use so if you give me your address I will send some to you asap. The sooner you get them started the better. My e-mail address is Lyonspum@aol.com

Hi Jeff, I have lots of giant carrot seeds too. I'm the one that sends out the seed packs so I'll make sure to add some.

That would be fantastic, the more seeds the better! I'm still new to growing from seed so my success rate isn't the best yet.
