Look at this nice one growing on the 5.23 Lyons. 3 days old. I've got 2 of these plants growing. The other one has had all kinds of tomatoes on it and this is the first flower on this one! I've already been singing to this one. I'm hoping a new PB from this baby.
Looks like my Easter egg plants are starting to finish. About 6 months old. No new flowers in the last 2 weeks. They say you can bring them in for the winter and grow them again next year. I don't see it. I'll have lots of seeds for the GVGO seed packs if people are interested. Fun to grow. This is plant 2.
My best tomato so far. 4.9 LaRue. 18 1/4" at day 24. Been told the week after day 25 is when it should take off. We'll see soon. Have several more that are just starting.
Update on Easter egg plants. Both potted plants have 18 eggs on them. I harvested seeds out of one egg each plant and put 10 of each in paper towel today. This is the oldest plant
Half the eggs on the Easter egg plant are changing color already. They're all different sizes with the biggest not quite the size of a real chicken egg.
First round went pretty good. 36 of 40 sprouted. Having trouble with some of the Domingo seeds. Big Wixom, Wixom's 6.23 and the 9.65 WR were seeds that didn't sprout. I guess I'm not the only one having trouble.
We're having a bunch over for Christmas......covid or not
4.63 bottom
4.63 grown off the 5.71 Lambchop. I'll enter this one
4.06 lbs. grown off the 5.21 DeMars
4.78 bottom pic. Starting to crack. Had to weigh it
Moving in the right direction now. 4.78 lbs.
Where was this one a few weeks ago
Nice blossom on the 5.71 Lambchop
3.57 bottom view
Weighed my second tomato today. Going the wrong direction. 3.57 lbs.
But it sure makes a nice support for my tomato and..... I shouldn't have to worry about my tomato getting a virus!
Not sure if this thing will help me much with the covid

3.594 lbs.
First tomato for Zeke's Geeks
Sorry just messing everybody around a bit. I'm like that sometimes.
Food grade Diatomaceous earth is the product. You can get it pretty much anywhere.
I'll get the stuff John said to put on the plants to get rid of them tomorrow.
These won't be a problem anymore.
Found a couple more. Am I ever glad they were on my eating tomatoes.
It's nice to have an experienced grower helping.
Fortunately for me my buddy and mentor John Butler knew straight away.
"you've got a horn worm". Guess what?
Something chewing the crap out of my plants and tomatoes
Don't know if anyone has had this problem before but it was new to me.

Not as many eggs but a lot bigger.

Wasn't sure the whole flower would pollinate. On July 1st one half was still flowered. It looks like it took OK though.
At least 25 eggs on this Easter egg plant. Hard to count all the new ones.
Tomatoes are all in. 40 in the ground and 5 in buckets.
First mega on the 4.9 LaRue. Plants pretty small. Won't prune unless this thing really takes off.
This plant is 2 weeks younger. The yellow egg and the biggest white one are the same size as a chicken egg

And my favorite hunting spot too. Orange hat....safety first!
Now that we're going to stage 2 of re-opening in Ontario some of the day care is open again. What a relief!

I didn't have any problem with my 5.75's either Phil
Today is the day. Plants are a month old. Ended up with one of Wixom's 6.23 and one of Porkchop's 9.65. No Big Wixom's
Ready to plant
This plant has a dozen eggs lol
Hard to see the eggs. They're under the leaves
Easter egg plants look great since I put them outside
No luck on those either Zeke. Our own 5.75's were up in 4 days & our WR 9.65's germinated okay.
How about your 6.23's Phil
My Big Wixson's didn't germinate either.
Second round I'm going to put under the lights up high. Usually around 80°F up there. see if it makes a difference

Started some tomatoes on Tuesday. I cut two off in the pic. Also have the 5.61 Spaziani and the 5.75 Hunt started.
