I have a piece of 3/4 inch conduit about a foot long and try to stick it in the soil as deep as you can and take 8 or 10 samples from different spots in your patch put the soil in a clean pail and mix it up good you need at least 2 cups put in a fresh zipp lock Baggie then in card board box along with submission form and a cheque and mail it . Go to there website: www.alcanada.com you can print off a submission form I just get the basic test I believe it's $36 or $38 plus you get a 10% discount for being GVGO member they will email you the results but you can call them at 519-457-2575 that's the London Ont. Office if you have any questions Good luck. Dan

Everything dclement said plus make sure you don't use a metal pail or aluminum trowel for collecting and mixing. Apparently tiny amounts of metals can rub off on the soil and give you a false reading of Iron or Aluminum. I always get the S1B + S7 test, that's your most complete results including all the micros. For "Intended Crop" I always put Giant Pumpkin and "Yield Goal" I put Really Big, lol. If you send your test in without payment they will email you when its ready and you can call with a credit card over the phone.

Phone them and tell them that you are a GVGO member. Get a price and payment options. I send a cheque with my sample to get the discount and mention the discount on the submission form.

Carl I can get my samples done through the farm for free but I'd like to give A &L a try. Are you any good at reading them? When we get them done N P K are all they recommend most times. Here's my sample from 2 years ago.
