Your 1959 Lb. pumpkin weighed today at Woodbridge is now the new Canadian record. It was great to watch it grow all summer and even better to finally see it get weighed. You can finally take a sigh of relief. Congratulations to all the other growers and volunteers who made the day go so well.

Congratulations!!!!!!
Congratulations Jane and Phil on the new record! Now lets go get that 2000 plus.
Great job Jane & Phil. On top of the Canadian results so far, this couldn't happen to more deserving growers and ambassadors of the hobby. All the best!
Congrats you guys. So close to the 2000. Big pumpkins this year
Big congratulations Phil and Jane!!
Well done. Didn't see that one coming.
Thanks all. We are thrilled to have the Canadian Record again. Not sure how long we'll have it with another weigh off to go, but finally having a new PB (last one was in 2009) is a big win for us. Kind of glad we didn't break 2000#. Will make 2019 an exciting season for all Canadian GVGOers, if it's not broken in Wellington.
We'll put together an article for the newsletter on what we did different this past season in the patch. Oh & by the way, we will be growing 2 plants in 2019. ;o)

Mr and Mrs. Hunt,
Congratulations on the 1959 lbs. pumpkin!!! Did you take your pumpkin on the cruise?
Sincerely Simon Southwell
Wow!! Congrats Phil and Jane!
Thanks. Chris Lyons looked after our plant while we were on a cruise/tour vacation to Alaska for 16 days. We left on May 18th & arrived home on June 4th. The plant had grown from 2' to close to 10' in that time period.
Huge Congratulations go to Phil and Jane! Was hoping someone would reach the 2K milestone this year and you were so close.
No doubt you will get there next year!
Congratulations Phil & Jane. Go GVGO!!
Great job Phil and Jane. And a new P.B. as well . Cogratulations, Charlie and Gail E
Thanks again folks. 2,000# can be grown in Canada if we get the weather. We just need to work together to make it happen.
