Why is membership on the down swing?
The club has roughly 22,000 dollars with costs such as seed packages, seminar, embroidery, plaques, Hall of Fame, Grower of the Year awards and newsletters to pay for.
Whens the last time a pumpkin or squash out of the seed pack actually got planted?
Other than the grower themselves?
1 ton contest pays out 1/4 of the clubs money ($6000) and goes to the top 5% of growers! We are running a contest to break 2000 lbs when the rest of the world is trying to break 3000 lbs.
Does the club change some of the master growers levels?
Patch Tours - Does the club have one (under attended in the past) or some smaller ones witn club giving some small financial help?
Site Sponsorship - the club has heard alot of feedback on this! The weighoffs are for the growers and if the site pays the GPC should we not contribute something?
All site co-ordinators and growers attending GPC Weigh offs should review and follow GPC rules.
If you have comments this will be discussed at the seminar or email us at gvgogrowers@gmail.com so the executive can discuss.
