    New Giant Veg Rules

    in Grower Discussion

The new international rules and regulations for showing and judging giant vegetables and related crops have been posted here: and will appear on this website and others soon.

These rules can be freely used by all growers and weigh-offs and may be posted on any website. The GPC is using these rules when they help growers at a GPC event claim a Guinness World Record.

In the document you can see who was involved in making these rules and which resources were used.

All weigh-offs/fairs, etc are strongly advised to use these rules in order to standardize judging.

I sent a copy of the new rules to all the weigh offs in Ontario. We & the GVGO strongly suggest that all weigh off officials follow these standard set of rules for judging all the different varieties of giant vegetables.

If growers see an error during the weigh off, please speak up to the judges or the weigh off official.

    Good luck,

    Phil & Jane

Seems to be netting to me, so I would rule it a squash.

I'm with Brad. If I was the judge, it would be a squash.
