Im getting ready to order 15lbs of mycorrizal fungi for this season. I contacted both suppliers and the price is comparable. Ive used pumpkin pro the last two years. I have 10lb of pumpkin pro left over from last year. Im thinking about trying Biogrow endo plus and maybe mixing it with the pumpkin pro i have.
Whats everyones opinion on the Bio endo is it as good or better than Pumpkin Pro?
Guys the product from the Erin Giant Pumpkin Growers is very good. I have been using it for 2 seasons and will again this year.
I will check out that link John. Thank You
Is there any product in particular that Ontario growers are fond of ?
Myke is Myke, I don't think the name really matters. Pumpkins benefit from endomycorrhizal inoculant (glomus intraradices) which is in AGTIV Specialty Crop granular, but also in all the other types of Myke for vegetable crops. It doesn't really matter what brand you use - lower spore count = cheaper price but you use more and higher spore count = higher price but you use less. What's most important is that it is fresh and stored properly throughout the entire chain of command. If someone is shipping you the product while it's freezing temperatures you are getting a bag of dead myke. So I wouldn't worry about a particular brand, I would worry more about freshness and product handling. Look at the spore count, look at the price and decide from there. I think we all tend to apply way too much (more than needed to inoculate) so I use a lower spore count product from MYKE.
AGTIV Specialty Crop granular is the product i was wondering if Ontario growers used in the past ?
That MYKE product is not the one i'm interested in Jody

I messaged our fertilizer rep for the farm today and sent him the link that you provided above. He's going to look into it and get back to me. I'll let ya know what he says.

I emailed AGTIV about Nova Scotia retailers of their product. They responded that Halifax seed was the Nova Scotia retailer of the Myke line. So I'm assuming that AGTIV must be the same stuff as myke with a different name. I messaged Halifax seed for pricing here's the response
Here is the Pricing on the various sizes of Myke we have:
Packet - 4.99
1L - 11.99
1.5L - 14.99
4L - 29.99
lol. But seriously the AGTIV Specialty Crop has really caught my attention and i'm pretty sure i noticed that ontario growers have used it over the years
Hi carldgraham,
We better order supplies before all the recreational growers/ users realize how good this stuff is and create a nation wide shortage.

Just wondering if Ontario growers could share some input on the product in the above link. 20% off every canadian dollar is a killer. Thanks Carl

If i were you i would give Bio Endo a try this year. It grew my 1811 and Joels monster and you used pumpkin pro for 2 years. I would also take the advice above and use the old stuff to grow the 4 plants Justin is allowing us to grow in the back yard
Lol
Hi Caper838,
I was reading Mr. Demars hysterical redneck jokes and your inquiry about mycorrizal fungi to my Mom when she commented that you should order the new stuff and save the old for the 4 plants the government will allow you to grow and remember your a GVGOer so they have to be Giants!
