The rule for weighing, was anything over 5 lbs. had to be weighed on a certified scale. This is just a fun contest and I'm sure that anybody that has a big tomato will follow the GPC rules. I think we'll allow all entries to be weighed on your personal scales. That way nobody has to go into town if they don't want to. Opinion?

I knew it had good genes, I wanted to grow them, when they came in the GVGO seed pack. I was very excited! Hope to grow about 6+ plants next year, but I had only five seeds, planted four, and had one dug up by a critter, so hope to get something from them. Minimal care, and pruning (as in taking of any side shoots I had seen, and missing about 6 or 7 that grew 2 feet before getting noticed) and some triple 20 fertilizer, and I have a harvested a 2 pounder! Hopefully yours do better for me. I have my biggest on a single, and my smallest on a long skinny double, or triple, that wasn't completely fused yet. Mine are probably all around 2-3 weeks old. Hope that they will keep growing in to October for the weighoffs! Good luck!
the 3.51 was grown off the 5.71 Lambchop which grew the 9.65 WR last year. They're telling me these Domingo tomatoes will grow big on a single flower and are good for showing up late. Hope so. I've got one going on a 5.71 now.

I hope they keep going for you. Good Luck!
I know, I just knew I had a 15 inch totally green one on one of you 3.51s, and two 13 inch ones.
You don't have to decide which tomatoes are your biggest 2 for the contest. Weigh all of them and I'll keep upgrading always counting your 2 biggest
Nope. The judges at the weigh off would verify it Noah
Quick question, would I have to take a pic, if it was officially weighed at a weigh off?
Prince Edward County's weigh off is October 17th so we'll close the contest to entries at noon EST on October 18th. Updated rules below.
To be eligible for a world record you must follow GPC rules which includes weighing on a certified scale. If you want your tomatoes to show in the GPC stats download early tomato entry form off the GPC site.
I think it should be encouraged but not enforced. I also think there should be a date before which tomatoes weights must be submitted. Also, I was wondering how they would get submitted? Anyway, I do think, especially if you are the one with the 30+ inch circumference, you should have to weigh it officially, but I would say, below the world record, it doesn't matter.
GO TEAM 10!
