The rule for weighing, was anything over 5 lbs. had to be weighed on a certified scale. This is just a fun contest and I'm sure that anybody that has a big tomato will follow the GPC rules. I think we'll allow all entries to be weighed on your personal scales. That way nobody has to go into town if they don't want to. Opinion?

I knew it had good genes, I wanted to grow them, when they came in the GVGO seed pack. I was very excited! Hope to grow about 6+ plants next year, but I had only five seeds, planted four, and had one dug up by a critter, so hope to get something from them. Minimal care, and pruning (as in taking of any side shoots I had seen, and missing about 6 or 7 that grew 2 feet before getting noticed) and some triple 20 fertilizer, and I have a harvested a 2 pounder! Hopefully yours do better for me. I have my biggest on a single, and my smallest on a long skinny double, or triple, that wasn't completely fused yet. Mine are probably all around 2-3 weeks old. Hope that they will keep growing in to October for the weighoffs! Good luck!
