I was wondering the same thing. I checked the website, but only a phone number to call Ken Maynard, Dave McCallum or Frank Catapano.
It would be nice if in the future the weigh offs would post their prize structure on this site or at least a link to where you could find it on their website. We have a couple of sites that do have it posted on their website & that is a big help to the growers trying to decide where to go. Especially since we have 7 GPC weigh offs in Ontario. If any weigh off coordinators are reading this, in the future please post your prize structure on the GVGO website, include a link to it on your weigh off posting on the weigh offs page of this site or add it onto your website. Your help with this is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I thought Team Lunatic was in charge of running this event

Team Lunatic does run the weigh-off with volunteers helping out with all aspects of the show but the Prize money is supplied by the Woodbridge fair itself. At this time we have not heard anything but hopefully something will be announced soon.

I'm not sure but they could likely use some help. If anyone wants to volunteer their time during the weigh off, please call Ken Maynard at 905-851-0690 OR David McCallum 1-519-364-5422 OR Frank Catapano 416-991-5863. Maybe one of them could fill us in on the prize structure.

Hi Dave
This below is what I've copied from the GPC website. Can you confirm the registration times & the start of the weigh off? Last year nothing was set up until Chris Lyons & I got there just after 8am. Registration didn't end up starting till 10 am & the weigh off was started just after lunch. I suggest that registration runs from 9 am - 12 noon, with the weigh off starting shortly afterwards @ 12:15 pm. Does this work or do you have a better idea? Any prize for the GVGO veggie of the year, Heavy Carrot?

I also checked the GPC site for info for the Wellington Weigh off & they still have the same prize package listed from 2013. Can anyone (John Vincent) confirm these numbers or has everything changed? Any prize for the GVGO veggie of the year?

That's good for growers who were there last year, but what if someone else was interested in participating. Maybe John or someone on the Wellington Pumpkinfest committee should write out the prize list & any important info on this site & on BP.com so all our members will know what's happening & when it's happening.

Woodbridge prize structure is the same as last year... I am guessing we cannot access the posts from the old website so I am unable to copy and repost it, will try to dig it up from somewhere and see if we can get it posted
GPC website is wrong and out dated not sure how this can be changed
WOODBRIDGE website is wrong and very outdated, I have asked Ken Maynard to look into updating it
If you have participated in the Woodbridge weighoff in the past... everything is scheduled to provide you the same great day you have come to enjoy... a Team Lunatic giveaway with registration and a great Italian sandwich lunch along with great laughs and good times with your growing friends
Cheers
